The Green Mountain Swim Team is a summer club swim team based out of the Green Mountain Swim Club in Lakewood, Colorado.
We welcome swimmers as young as 5 and as old as 18 to compete. Swimmers aged 8 or younger should be able to swim at least 25 meters unassisted, and swimmers 9 and up should be able to swim 50 meters unassisted before trying out the team. All swimmers must be mature enough to focus for a one-hour practice, take directions from their coach and not be a drowning risk.
You do not need to be a member of the Green Mountain Swim Club in order to join our team, but there is an additional registration fee in order to cover pool time for meets and practices. Registration will open early April for the 2026 summer season.

Fun Fact: The Gator Swim Team started more than 50 years ago as the Water Ouzels. This bird, also known as the American dipper, is a unique songbird found in Colorado, known for its ability to swim and dive underwater. It’s the only aquatic songbird in North America. We love our ouzel history!
