Green Mountain Swim Team

TEAM SUIT FITTING: We will have our swimsuit representative at our Spring Clinic on Saturday, May 9th 3-5pm at the Carmody Rec Center. Swimmers may try on suit sizes to determine proper fitting. Team suits are not required but we do suggest that your swimmer wears a suit to meets that is black or green so it’s easier for the coaches to find them, both in and out of the water. If you know your swimmer’s size, you do not need to attend the fitting. Please have your swimmer try on suits before they get in the water. It will be the same suit for the next two summers. Our Hatchlings (littlest swimmers) will have a slightly different print.

Order deadline is MAY 17th. We will have suits at our Kick-Off Event on Friday, May 29th. Be sure to select IN STORE at checkout and we will have all suits picked up and available at GMSC.

POOL CLEAN UP DAY: Clean up day at the pool is on Saturday 5/2 & Sunday 5/3 from 9am–2pm. If you are a swim team member, check in with Natalie or get your name on the sign up clipboard and she will enter you into a fun prize drawing for Gator gear for helping out.

FIRST WEEKS OF PRACTICE: Our first weeks of practice will be after school practices at the Green Mountain Swim Club. We’ll be the first to use the pool for the summer. Swimmers 10 and under swim 4-5pm and 11 and up swim 5-6pm. May 18-21; May 26-28. A reminder to our year-round swimmers that your last practice/meet with your year-round team is May 17th, per FSA League rules.

We are very excited for another upcoming swim season with the Gators. Here is the registration link. We expect a LARGE number of swimmers this year and will implement a waiting list in order to cap the total number of swimmers at a safe level for our pool and each individual age group. Please understand that we would love to have all interested swimmers but must place this cap for the safety of all swimmers. You will be notified by May 1st about your registration status. The registration link was emailed last night. If you are a returning Gator family and did not receive an email, please reach out by emailing us at gmstgators@gmail.com to receive a link.
All returning families have until April 10 to complete the registration form in order to guarantee placement on the team.

Believe it or not, we are just 9 weeks out from the start of our season. A registration link will be emailed to all returning Gators on April 1st. Families will have until April 10th for priority onto the team. Registration for all new Gators will open on April 11th and it is possible we will have a waitlist again this year.

A few details: New swimmers 9 and under must attend a tryout on May 9th or 16th 3-4 pm at Carmody Rec Center.
After school practices will begin May 18th. 4-5 pm for 10 and unders, 5-6 pm for 11 and up. After school practices will be held May 18-21 & May 26-28

Please consider supporting two of our Senior Gator swimmers- Jessa & Chloe- in their Senior Capstone project. Plan on arriving at 3:50 (unless you’re in middle school, come when you can). It will be a fun night to count some laps and raise money for a great organization and support our Gators.

Exciting news! We have enough registered for two sessions this spring so we will have all 10 and unders swim 3-4 pm and all 11 and up swim 4-5 pm. We have opened the registration link again so if you know of anyone still wanting to participate in our Spring Clinic, please let them know.

As a reminder, Spring Clinic is a great way to work on swim endurance and stroke technique ahead of our summer swim season. Our first season begins March 7th at the Carmody Rec Center.
