Swimmer Files; Fall Clinic Registration

Don’t forget to check your swimmer files if you attended League or State or missed the banquet. There are medals and ribbons that need to be picked up. The file box is located in the guard shack at the pool.

That’s a wrap. We had a wonderful finish to the season, placing 4th overall at the Colorado State Summer Club Swimming Association State meet. Congratulations to Nolan J. for breaking the 11-12 y.o. 50 Backstroke Record & Marielle B. for breaking the 8 and under 50 Free Record.
We also have many podium finishers (Top 3): Chloe P, Byung-A C., Marielle, Nolan J, John M., 11-12 Boys Free Relay, 15-18 Womens Medley Relay, Arden A, Calvin V, Gwyneth J, Mystic GC, Phoebe P, Kerington J, 13-14 Girls Free Relay, 15-18 Womens Free Relay.

RIBBONS/MEDALS/SUPERLATIVES: If you missed the banquet or did not pick up your ribbons and medals that you earned at State, the swimmer’s file box will be located in the Guard shack at the pool during pool hours beginning on Tuesday.

Friday, July 31st is the last day to order team photos. See the sidebar for the link.
Also on Friday is our Team Movie night. This year is a bit different in that we are tag teamming with the swim club so you MUST HAVE RSVPed by last week and you MUST be on the guest list in order to attend. You may arrive around 7 pm to check in at the front entrance. Swimming is permitted until 9 pm. Snack shack will be open. The movie is GOAT.

So what’s next for my swimmer? Fall Clinic registration will be offered in August. Clinic will run September-November on Saturdays at the Green Mountain Rec Center. See the sidebar for other year-round, multi-season options. Otherwise, we looked forward to inviting ALL of our Gator families back next summer. You truly made this an amazing summer with many great memories.

State Week

Thank you for a fantastic League meet! We had some amazing swims with incredible time drops and dozens of League champions. I am very impressed with and proud of everyone who swam this weekend!

The state entries are linked here. Relays are not finalized yet as I try to contact some people about availability, so I will post an update tomorrow morning. Please look over the entries to make sure you are entered correctly as I know things changed for some after this weekend. Entries are due tomorrow afternoon so I can still make adjustments as needed.

State practices are modified this week: 13 and up 7-8 am; 12 and under 8-9 am. There will be no night practice this week. 400s are Friday morning, but regular upper division practice will be held for all other swimmers. Please check the sidebar for results and the three locations for the meets. We look forward to seeing you at practice!

A few of their favorite things

Several families were requesting a list of the coaches favorite things in case you’d like to treat them to something special as a thank you. Here is the list. As a reminder, our banquet is next Wednesday, July 22nd at 5:30 pm.
Bring chairs, blankets and an appetite. It is a fun night of celebrating. We will also have the swimmer file box out loaded with ribbons and medals.
For the potluck, we are requesting the following:
Last Names A-L: side dish / Last Names M-Z: Dessert
The coaches will be dressed to impress and many of the swimmers like to dress up too. For everyone else, flip flops and t-shirts are excellent choices. This is a non-swimming event.
