Weekly update for June 1st

-Morning practices start this week.
-T/Th evening practices for upper division.
-Intrasquad on Wednesday.
-Dual meet at Applewood on Saturday.

Thank you to all for a very successful season kick-off and great meet on Saturday. We really appreciate all of the volunteers who stepped in to help! See the sidebar where we post results from the meet. Ribbons will be available in swimmer files later this week. If you are an upper division swimmer, you can request ribbons here or by scanning the QR code on our team board.

FIRST INTRASQUAD, WEDNESDAY, JUNE 3rd. Warm-up begins at 5:00pm and the meet begins at 5:30pm. The meet is shorter than our Saturday meets but normally goes until about 9pm. We will need volunteers, especially timers to help the meet run smoothly. We will have a total of 3 Intrasquads this season. These are meets with only our team and the results do count. You can earn a qualifying time for League and State during these meets. Please note: Your swimmer must swim in a minimum of TWO Dual Meets in order to be eligible for League and State. Meet sign-ups will be available until Wednesday after practice.

Tuesday and Thursday evening practices begin this week and are 8-9pm for upper division swimmers only. All other practices begin this week, Monday through Friday (yes we still have practices the morning of the Intrasquad meet)

Dual meet versus Applewood Knolls, Saturday, June 6th. The address is listed on our sidebar and warm-ups will begin at 6:30, and the meet will begin at 7:00. Parking is very limited so please be courteous when parking in front of neighboring houses. Please volunteer for shifts here. We will have a big grass area to the left when you walk into the pool with our team tents and plenty of shade and space for families. You are welcome to bring pop up tents, etc. to this pool.

We are looking forward to a fun kickoff on Friday, though the weather may be challenging again. We hope to get swimmers in for some fun relays, but please be prepared for changes and bring warm clothes in case of wind or a lightning delay.

Thank you to everyone who has signed up for volunteer shifts on Saturday. As a reminder, the swim team board is entirely volunteer-run, and we could still use help during the final shift with timing, runners, computer entry, and pool cleanup. Please consider taking on one of these shifts if you are able to stick around. The meet should wrap up around 11:30 and we need to have to pool ready for members at noon.

Weekly update 5/24

Afternoon practices. Season kickoff. First home meet

We will have afternoon practices again this week. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 4-5pm & 5-6pm.

Friday, May 29th 6-7pm we will have a fun season kickoff. Swimmers will meet their buddies and do some fun team building activities, including relays so bring suits and towels. We will also have our team suits for pickup if you ordered them for the season.

Saturday, May 30th. Home meet versus the 6th Avenue Stingrays. 6:00 am warm-up for 13 and up, 6:15 am for 12 and under. Meet starts at 7:00 am. Click here for volunteer shifts– we can’t run the meet without timers or heating shed help so be sure to check out those shifts- don’t worry, we’ll teach you how.
Sign up for events will be posted on our team board and available until Thursday after practices. A reminder that swimmers who have not paid will not be able to swim on Saturday so be sure to make payment as soon as possible.

Practice 5/19

We will have practice available this evening for both sessions due to warmer air and water temperatures. It is still cold, however, so please be prepared with extra towels and warm clothes. Depending on conditions and how they change, practices may be shorter than usual.

Some of practice will be held outside of the pool so be sure to wear warm clothes and shoes. We look forward to seeing you!

Practice Cancelled Monday (5/18)

Unfortunately we will not be holding swim practice this evening. The predicted low outdoor temperatures with windchill and potential cold pool temperatures suggest uncomfortable if not unsafe practice conditions. We were looking forward to getting started, but don’t want to risk harm.

As of now the forecast looks a little bit better for tomorrow (5/19) so I am not ready to call it yet. Please check back tomorrow before you leave for practice for updates.

Weekly update 5/17/26

Swimsuit orders due today (5/17). First week of practice 5/18-21. Volunteer opportunities posted.

Colorado is doing its Colorado thing. We’ll wait to make the call for tomorrow’s first practice 5/18 (at the Green Mountain Swim Club). If we make any cancellations, it will be posted here. Please refresh this page prior to leaving for practice . 4-5pm is 10 and under and 5-6pm is for 11 and up.

We will have our new parent meeting at 5pm at the pool to cover meets, events, volunteer expectations, etc.

Volunteer shifts are now posted on the sidebar. Meets take many volunteers to run smoothly and the team has an expectation that all families take on at least five shifts throughout the season. Here is the link to our first meet on 5/30.
