Pre-Orders for League Gear

If you would like to pre-order your League gear, we got information from the host team today. All Pre-orders are due by 6/30.

If you are attending the League Meet on July 19th at Anderson and are interested in pre-ordering t-shirts or gear, please visit the online store HERE.  We will be selling some merchandise the day of the meet, but there are many advantages to pre-ordering exactly what you want before Monday June 30th.  The selection of sizes, styles and colors is much greater when you order online now.  Gear will be ready for pickup at the meet so there are no shipping charges.  Orders made now take advantage of volume discounts.  Orders placed after June 30th will be more expensive and require shipping.

Gator Updates: Pictures & Pancakes Week!

Summary:
– TUE ONLY: 8pm – Upper Division Night Practice
– WED 6/25: 7:30am – Pictures, Pancakes & Water World Day
– SAT 6/28: GMST @ AKST – warm up @ 6:30am

Details:
-Night Practice: Will only be on Tuesday this week due to a scheduled event at the pool.
– Pictures and Pancakes: We will not have practice on Wednesday. Please have your swimmer arrive at 7:30am wearing their team suit (or a black or green suit if possible). Our photographer will take a BIG team picture, plus individual pictures of the kids that want that. Once she processes the photos, we will post a link on the side bar to purchase the photo(s). After pictures are done, we will serve Gator pancakes to all the kids. Of course they will be green! We still have slots available to help. Please help if you can: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090D4DABAC28A1FF2-56900057-gator#/
Water World: If you are going to Water World, please know that you are responsible for the supervision and transportation of your swimmer. We have a meet-up spot (see link below for a detailed map) that we grab tables and then all Gator families use this as their point of contact. The link for discounted tickets is on the side bar. (I won’t copy it here because it tends to glitch out). https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ghl346c1HgX1T_HqGreTiE-mwHLn6sZS/view?usp=sharing
– Dual Meet at Applewood Knolls: Our next Saturday meet is at AKST. We will have a big grass area to the left when you walk into the pool with our team tents and plenty of shade and space for families. You are welcome to bring pop up tents, etc to this pool. AKST has a big team, so this meet might not get over until 1:00pm. We need timers, especially 3rd shift. Please sign up: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090D4DABAC28A1FF2-57012880-gmst#/
-C/D Meet: This meet is on Sunday 6/29 and only for swimmers that have “C” or “D” times. It is a very fun meet for the kids that might not be as fast, but love to be in the pool! They will be competing with other kids at the same skill level and find it really fun. If you would like to sign your kid up, please talk directly to Coach Ethan. We will need approx. 4 Timers for this meet: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090D4DABAC28A1FF2-56899901-cdmeet#/ We are waiting for details of the warm up and start time, but plan for 7:30am-ish for warm up. The side bar will be updated as soon as we know.

Two Timers Needed for Wednesday

Thank you to everyone who signed up to volunteer on Wednesday! It’s going to be a great meet- weather will be just a bit different than our last Intrasquad meet.

We do need TWO more timers for the 2nd shift. If your child is signed up for the IM to get the Iron Gator, this would be a good shift to cover since you’ll be there until the end of the meet. Here is the sign up link.

Gator Updates: Week of 6/16

Summary:
– WED: Intrasquad #2 (warm up: 5:00pm / start 5:30pm)
– SAT: Home Meet vs. Wheatridge (warm up: 6:00am / start: 7:00am)
-SUN: Pentathlon @ AAC (talk to your coach to see if you qualify)
-WED 6/25: Pictures, Pancakes and Water World Day
-Iron Gator Award

Details:
Intrasquad: Just like last time, this is with our team only. Swimmers can sign up for a maximum of 3 events and there will not be any relays. Sign up here to volunteer: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090D4DABAC28A1FF2-57011700-intrasquad2#/
GMST vs. Wheatridge: This is our last home meet! Everything will be on the road from here on out, so make sure you are checking the side bar for times and addresses moving forward. Sign up to volunteer here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090D4DABAC28A1FF2-57012864-gmst#/
Pentathlon: You must have qualifying times to swim in this race. Please speak to your age division coach and they can let you know. We will need 9 timers, so most families will need to step up if you plan to be there. Sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090D4DABAC28A1FF2-56899827-pentathlon#/
Pictures and Pancakes: Our friend and local Photographer, Alex Hearn, will be with our team to take a Big Team photo, as well as individual photos if you would like that for your kids. We ask that everyone wear their team suit (or black or green suit) if you can. Pictures will start at 7:30am and a pancake breakfast will follow. We will not have practice on picture day. We do need help with this event, so please see the sign up sheet here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090D4DABAC28A1FF2-56900057-gator#/
Water World: This portion of the day is optional (as our most things on our team) and follows the pancake breakfast. We have discounted tickets available to purchase and all swimmers need to have their own rides. We will pick a spot for the team to meet up (more detailed information will be posted) and generally all families/kids just come and go throughout the park and have a fun day. Many of the kids wear their team suits, so it’s fun to see Gators throughout the park. The link for tickets is on the side bar or click here: https://calypsoclub.waterworldcolorado.com/affiliate
Does your swimmer want to be an Iron Gator? We want it for them too! In order to earn the Iron Gator Award your swimmer has to get a qualifying time in every event available for their age division. They don’t have to win, they just have to swim and not DQ! We love to encourage all swimmers to try all the races. We know it’s hard. That’s why it’s the Iron Gator Award. Talk to your coach if you have questions. They would be happy to sign your kid up for an IM to complete the list 🙂
