So what does this mean for your swimmer?

Age: whatever age your swimmer is today is their swim-age for the entire summer.
Year-Round Teams: Today is last day that your swimmer can practice or compete with their year-round team until the end of the summer season in order to be eligible for summer swim team. Questions? See our FAQ page for more information

We look forward to seeing everyone for afterschool practices starting on 5/20.
4:30-5:30 pm: 8 and under tryouts + all 12 and under swim practice
5:30 -6:30pm: all 13 and older swim practice
(all practices at Green Mountain Swim Club)

We did not realize how late some of the schools got out and want to make sure that swimmers have a reasonable chance of making it to practice. Thanks to everyone who made us aware of this challenge!

Monday 5/20 – Thursday 5/23
4:30-5:30pm: 12 and under
5:30-6:30pm: 13 and older

Morning practices start on Tuesday 5/28.

Swimsuit Fittings: we have the suits for one more weekend! If you missed the fitting, you can stop by the Rec Center from 3-4:30pm to try on a suit for the summer season. If you are swimming at clinic, please remember to do this BEFORE you get in the water.

Swim Club Clean Up Day: Our last clean up day is Saturday 5/11 from 9am – 2pm.

Swim Team Summer Registration: If you haven’t registered yet, what are you waiting for? We will make a final determination on the age break-downs for practice times once we have our (mostly) final numbers. As a reminder ALL SWIMMERS NEED TO BE REGISTERED IN ORDER TO ENTER THE WATER ON THEIR FIRST PRACTICE. I’m looking at you Upper Division! register here

Team Swimsuit Fitting: Saturday 5/4 from 3:00-4:30pm @ GM Rec Center
– You only need to show up if you don’t know your swimmer’s swimsuit size. The website to order suits is up on our site (in right column). Order by Thursday 5/9 for free delivery to our pool. Orders 5/10 or after will need to be shipped directly to your home. (Swim clinic will still be happening from 3-5 on Saturday)

Pool Clean Up Day: Saturday 5/4 and 5/11 from 9:00am – 2:00pm @ GM Swim Club
– If you have the time to help us get the pool ready for swim team season, please come down. Many hand make light work! If you are a swim club member, please check in to earn guest passes (adult members only earn passes). If you are a swim team member only, please check in with Danielle to be entered into a random prize drawing for Gator swag (all swimmers and adults are eligible)!!

Details:
– Swim Suit Fitting (5/4 from 3-4:30pm at Green Mountain Rec Center)
Please join us at the Rec Center to try on sample suits so you can find your correct size for the upcoming summer season. All orders will be placed online, so if you know your swimmer’s suit size, then you do not need to attend. (As a reminder, team suits are not required, so the pressure is off). Our swim club is managed by an all-volunteer team and opening the pool each season is a very big lift. If you are on the swim team, but not a member, please remember that we wouldn’t have this amazing swim team without this awesome pool! We would love your help to show a little Gator Pride. Same message to our swim team/pool members, but you’ll get an extra incentive of earned guest passes by showing up for at least 2 hours.

**Note: The 8 and Under tryouts are for new swimmers only. If you were on the team last year, you do not need to try out. If you hope to be our newest Gator, we will be evaluating swimmers based on safety, not on their ability to do each stroke. We want to make sure that no one is a drowning risk and has the stamina to do at least a 30-45 minute practice.

Hello swimmers! Gator Swim Team registration is open and we couldn’t be more excited. Please click here to register. All swimmers must be registered in advance of our first practice on 5/20 and paid in full by 5/28 .

Summer season starts the week of 5/20
First Intrasquad meet is scheduled for Wednesday 5/29
First dual meet is scheduled for Saturday 6/1

Important Notes: Please check the website often for all updates relating to swim team (practices, meets, weather cancellations, etc). For returning parents that are trying to get your schedule together… our season is one-week shorter this year. League and State have moved up a week and we do not have a bye weekend planned, so the fast and furious nature of summer swim just got a little faster!
