Coach Devon and I thought it would be fun to add one event to the meet tonight. We created relays out of people who have the same (or similar) first names. Each person in the relay will swim a 25 choice just for fun.

The entries are posted on the sidebar. It will show up as event 111, but it will be the first event. Some people are listed as “alternate.” This happens because of how the computer works. If you see the relay show up on your entries, you are entered. We talked to most people we entered today, but not everyone was at practice. If you don’t want to participate, let us know tonight.

Entries are updated in the sidebar based on times from today. Email gmstgators@gmail.com with any questions, concerns, or changes. Otherwise see you for warm up at 6:20 at AAC.

I linked the current pentathlon entries on the sidebar. Final entries are due by 3 pm tomorrow. If you would like to participate and are not listed on the entries let me know at the meet tomorrow. I know a few people are qualifying/trying to qualify tomorrow. Please check in with me if/when you finish those races. As a reminder, swimmers must have a B time or better in 4 of the 5 events. Each stroke discipline and the IM count towards this qualification.

Due to movie night at the pool this Thursday (6/12) night practice for upper division will take place Tuesday (6/10) and Wednesday (6/11) instead.

After the rain and colder temperatures last night and this morning, the pool temp is currently 75 degrees. That is right on the limit for cancelling practice so we will still hold practice, but parent discretion is encouraged for smaller swimmers. We will adjust as needed with early releases or dry land practice.

I will update about night practice later this evening.

If your swimmer participated in bead collecting that we started this season they should bring their beads to the banquet tomorrow. The coaches will have a station where swimmers can make something to show off their achievements for the season. See you tomorrow!
