Please help out around the club during practice

The Swim Club Board has been working overtime in the rain and snow to get the actual pool ready to go (on time) for the swim team. In doing so, we have fallen behind on all of our grounds, locker room and general maintenance of the rest of the pool area. If parents are waiting around for their kids to get done with swim practice, we are kindly asking if they would pick up a broom, or rake, or pool skimmer and help us get ready for the season.

We need:
– grass racked and bag. The grass is so long (because of the crazy weather) that when they mow it is leaving behind a lot of clippings.
– locker rooms swept and wiped down.
– pool decked swept
– pool skimmed daily to get the leaves out
– weeds to be pulled (dandelions, thistles, etc).
The success of the Club directly effects the success of the Swim Team and we are hoping that with a few extra hands that we can be up and running by the weekend!

Tie Die and Ice Cream Social-June 3rd @ 6:30

Please mark your calendars for our Gator tie die and ice cream party.  This will be held at the Green Mountain Swim Club at 6:30pm.  We have made the decision to change this event to the beginning of the season.  This will allow our swimmers (and Gator fans) to get their tie die gator gear for the season and for swimmers and families to meet each other.  There will be more information posted as this event as we get closer to this date but please plan on attending.

After school swim practice is on

We got confirmation that the Green Mountain Swim Club pool is filled and ready for us to start after school swim practice.  Please see the age division swim times on the right hand side of the Blog.  Hope to see you this week.
IMPORTANT:  Please check the Blog before heading to swim practice as the weather is not showing favorable for us.  We will keep this updated if we cancel due to weather.
Also if you purchased a team suit we will have these available for pick up at practice this week.  Also please bring payment and the required forms to practice.

Team suits

If you ordered a team suit already these will be available for pick up at practice next week.  If you haven’t ordered a swimming suit and still need to you will need to do this by May 16th for free shipping.  They will still take orders after this date you will just have to pay shipping costs.

Important reminders (next few weeks)

Here are some important reminders for the next few weeks as we prepare for our summer swim season.

  • Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there!

  • Tonight is our last swim clinic at Green Mountain Rec Center. Thanks to everyone who participated
  • We are planning on beginning outdoor after school swim practice the week of May 18th.  Please see the practice times on the right hand side of the Blog.
