Green Mountain Swim Team

Hello Team. Please check the blog on Monday (and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) before heading out to practice. We are scheduled to be at Splash in Golden (due to pool renovations at our pool). As of Saturday (5/20), Splash is saying that the pool may not be warm enough to swim in on Monday. We will not know for sure until Monday. We will post if practice is a yes or no as soon as possible on Monday, along with any changes of time or location.

On a positive note, our pool renovation is coming along nicely and will be ready to go for morning practices starting on Tuesday 5/30. Woohoo!!

Clean up/set up day is Sunday, May 21st from 9am-2pm. We want everyone to take pride in the pool, so before we open, we are having a clean up day on Sunday, May 21st. Please show up if you can, even if it is only for a couple of hours. Every little bit helps, and we need your helpful hands to get the pool in shape. Please bring work gloves, rakes and large push brooms if you have them. We will need help with general cleaning of pool grounds, trimming shrubs, weeding, putting out tables & chairs, and help assembling new umbrella stands.  Thanks very much for any help that you can provide!

Do you want to have the best view at the pool? Join us and become an official. You do not need any previous experience. You will get trained and shadow another official until you are ready to be set free. This is a great way to help the team and complete your family’s volunteer obligation over the summer.

We have been busy in the off-season getting ready for our summer season. 28 days and counting!  Please see below for important updates (and pass this email on to any friends/neighbors that might have kids interested in the team).

Team Swim Suit Fitting:  Our team suit day will be this Saturday, April 29th from 2:30 – 4:15pm @ The Green Mountain Rec Center.  As a reminder, team suits are optional, but most kids generally do choose to wear the team suit. If you can not make this date it’s OK! We will post a team website link after the fitting to order suits online. Please note: We are using the same suits as last season, so if your suit still fits, you are all set!

Hello swimmers! Gator Swim Team registration is open and we couldn’t be more excited. Please click here to register. All swimmers must be registered in advance of our first practice on 5/22 and paid in full by 6/1 .

Important Notes!!!! The swim club is currently under renovations (woot!) and is pushing to have the pool open by Memorial Day weekend. We will be starting after school practices the week of 5/22 (at a yet to be determined location) and hope to start morning practices at our pool on Tuesday 5/30. If the renovations push pass the current timeline, please know that we will find a pool. However practices times and locations may be erratic until our pool is ready. We are fortunate to have an incredibly adaptable team. Thanks in advance.
