Green Mountain Swim Team

We have been busy in the off-season getting ready for our summer season. 28 days and counting!  Please see below for important updates (and pass this email on to any friends/neighbors that might have kids interested in the team).

For any and all updates about the team, please head to our website. 

Team Swim Suit Fitting:  Our team suit day will be this Saturday, April 29th from 2:30 – 4:15pm @ The Green Mountain Rec Center.  As a reminder, team suits are optional, but most kids generally do choose to wear the team suit. If you can not make this date it’s OK! We will post a team website link after the fitting to order suits online. Please note: We are using the same suits as last season, so if your suit still fits, you are all set!

Hello swimmers! Gator Swim Team registration is open and we couldn’t be more excited. Please click here to register. All swimmers must be registered in advance of our first practice on 5/22 and paid in full by 6/1 .

Summer season starts the week of 5/22
First meet is scheduled for Saturday 6/3

Important Notes!!!! The swim club is currently under renovations (woot!) and is pushing to have the pool open by Memorial Day weekend. We will be starting after school practices the week of 5/22 (at a yet to be determined location) and hope to start morning practices at our pool on Tuesday 5/30. If the renovations push pass the current timeline, please know that we will find a pool. However practices times and locations may be erratic until our pool is ready. We are fortunate to have an incredibly adaptable team. Thanks in advance.

The Gator Spring Swim Clinic is right around the corner.

Location:  Green Mountain Rec Center
Dates:       3/4/22 – 5/13/23 (skip 3/18)  SATURDAYS
Fee:          $100 for 10 week session
Age Group Swim Times: 
3:00-4:00pm (Ages 10 and under)
4:00-5:00pm (Ages 11 and older)
*If we have less than 25 participants, all practices will be at 3pm and you will be notified.

Congrats to our State Swimmers! We had over 25 Top 5 finishes and 1 Gator Record (13-14 Girls Medley Relay) broken at State. Our Upper Division went especially hard with lots of trashcan throw-up sessions, borrowed tech suits, super hero capes, and supportive relay pump-up sessions. Our team placed 7th overall at State. Great job team!

Ribbons/Awards: Please check the Swimmer Files box. (It is now in the Lifeguards office). We have League ribbons from 2021 (finally) and all sorts of medals/ribbons/etc from the season and Team Banquet that are just waiting to get into your hot little hands!

Fall Clinic: We will start Fall Clinic in September. Check the blogs for dates/times towards the end of August. This is a great way to keep your “swim legs” in the off-season if you are playing another sport or just playing video games. Bring a friend. You do not have to be a current Gator to join us at clinic.

Year-Round Swim Teams: We have added a tab to the blog with contact information for these teams. Just a reminder that if you swim for one of these teams, you do have to stop practicing/competing on or before May 15th to be a part of the Gators. We would love to see you back for our fun-filled summer in 2023.

See you next summer! It’s hard to say good-bye (even if it’s temporary) to our gator family. We hope to see you around town or in a pool between now and next May.
